We are Fairbeats!
We are a music charity working with young refugees, asylum seekers, newly arrived migrants and their families. We work with community centres across south London and the families we work with come from all over the world.
We bring people together through music-making and other artistic activities in a way that is creative, relaxed, dynamic and fun.
Fairbeats was founded by Catherine Carter and Jennifer Raven. In 2019-2020 we celebrated our tenth birthday year.

Where we work
We work in partnership with Action for Refugees in Lewisham, Southwark Day Centre for Asylum Seekers, Refugee Action Kingston and Love to Learn Homework Club in Wandsworth. At each centre we run regular music clubs where children can learn new musical skills and create new music together.
Through our bursary scheme we also support the children we work with to take part in other music making for example with Midi Music Club, MultiStory Orchestra, Battersea Arts Centre Beatbox Academy and The Albany.
If you or someone you know would like to take part please contact the centres directly to find out more about the clubs they run.
